youtube-dl läuft bei mir in einem Linux Container, den ich für gelegentliche downloads nutze. Heute war es mal wieder so weit.
Downloads mit dem youtube-dl sind aber elendig langsam. Auch nach einem Update auf die aktuelle Version, wird nur im Kilobyte Bereich heruntergeladen.

Googelt man nach diesem Problem, kommt man auf den yt-dlp, der wäre ja viel schneller. Also wird der jetzt mal installiert.
$ curl -L https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp/releases/latest/download/yt-dlp -o /usr/local/bin/yt-dlp $ chmod a+rx /usr/local/bin/yt-dlp
Was soll ich sagen: Unglaublich, volle Geschwindigkeit!
